Decibel Festival

We’re very honored that after our first year as a collective and label we have been invited to host a showcase at the 2011 Decibel Festival taking place in Seattle, WA September 28th through October 2nd. For our premiere Decibel Festival showcase we have chosen to bring up Los Angeles based Non Projects founder Anenon and label mate Asura. Both composers command a mastery of acoustic musicianship and sound collage, and take their audiences on ambitious journeys through rhythm and experimentation. They will be joined by three members of the Dropping Gems roster: Citymouth, Ghost Feet and DJAO. The entire showcase will be accompanied by visuals from Timeboy.

We’re pleased to announce we’ll be bringing Mndsgn out from Philly and Juj up from LA for a couple shows with the homie Devonwho next month. First up will be Friday, June 24th, in Seattle at Electric Tea Garden with Oc Notes and DJAO followed by Saturday, June 25th, in Portland at Rotture with Brownbear, Rap Class and visuals by Timeboy. Both shows promise to be fantastic evenings of beats to warm the soul, plan accordingly.
